John M. Foy, RPT 
John Foy received his training in piano technology from the North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA under the instruction of William Garlick and David Betts. He also received a BA in Music (piano) from Oberlin College, and studied piano technology there from then-head piano technician Kenneth Sloane. He has been tuning and rebuilding pianos for 27 years, and has been a Registered Piano Technician of the Piano Technicians Guild, since 1981. He has taught numerous classes at both regional and national PTG conferences and is a licensed installer of David Stanwood's Precision TouchDesign™ system.

 

John P. Johanson
John completed his BA from Guilford College, Greensboro, N.C., in 1992 and completed the program in piano technology at the North Bennet Street School in 2000. He has been working in the rebuilding shop since 1998, focusing on making and installing piano soundboards. He also tunes, restrings, installs new pinblocks, and attends to thousands of other piano rebuilding tasks

   

Louis Del Bene, RPT
Like John Foy and John Johanson, Louis also completed his training at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, Mass. He has also passed the examinations to become an RPT (Registered Piano Technician) of the Piano Technicians Guild.  Louis works with John Johanson in our shop, performing the full range of rebuilding tasks.

   

Nancy Poole
Nancy’s career is in business administration and accounting, but her avocation is music. She manages the business operations at John Foy Piano Restoration.
